On October 22, 2026, I received a parcel via J&T Express with Tracking Number JT0026089173476. I ordered a leather car seat cover, but upon opening the parcel immediately, it contained nothing but old maong jeans. The total amount scammed was PHP 1,515.00, which I paid directly using the J&T Head Office QR Code. Despite filing an immediate complaint with J&T to stop the transaction, J&T Express failed its consumer protection duties and willfully transmitted my money to the fraudulent seller. Every time I follow up on my refund, the team repeatedly tells me, “We are just waiting for the seller to return the money.” The supervisor even explicitly stated, “If the seller doesn’t refund, we won’t refund.” This response is unacceptable. As a customer, I should not be left bearing the consequences of a transaction involving a seller who has failed to fulfill their responsibility. I expect J&T Express to take accountability for this matter rather than continuously shifting the responsibility to the seller. I did not transfer money to the seller. I paid ₱1,515.00 directly to the J&T Head Office QR Code presented by the rider. Your corporate office received my funds. I flag-raised this parcel fraud immediately upon opening, well before standard remittance cycles should have been finalized. By refusing to return my money and insisting I wait for a scammer who has already blocked me, J&T Express is actively enabling financial fraud and violating consumer protection under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394).
